Did you have any prior development or coding experience?
Yes, we have almost a decade of coding experience.
What was the most challenging aspect of developing mobile app?
Developing our app posed two primary challenges: finding the right team to develop the app and creating an optimal UI/UX for users. Since our app presents a completely new social media model without any precedents, it posed difficulties in establishing a solid concept.

Name a few of your favorite apps and reason you love them.
Netflix, Google Maps and Pinterest. These three in our opinion have a great UX. They are easy to use and practically never crash.
How long have you been working on this app?
Almost two years now.
What need of the user did you have in mind when developing this app?
Our app was developed with two key user needs in mind: promoting animal care and respect, and addressing the inconvenience of managing separate pet profiles on traditional social media platforms. There are millions of pet profiles on traditional social media and users need to be switching between accounts all the time, which kills the family experience of being with your pet, like you are in real life.
Just as we enthusiastically show off our pets and involve them in various aspects of our lives offline, we wanted to create a platform where this experience seamlessly translated into the digital world.
In what way do you think your app is better than similar apps on the market? Please describe in detail what innovation you think you bring and what you are proud of in your app.
Our app has introduced a revolutionary social experience and concept that sets us apart. Unlike other apps, Petme allows you to seamlessly integrate your pet into your profile without the need for a separate account. This innovative approach expands the possibilities for content creation, offering a wider and more dynamic experience. Whether you want to showcase your pet’s adventures individually or together, our app empowers you to do so.
One of our unique features is the pet relatives feature. It caters to big families with a single pet, enabling them to share the same pet profile. Additionally, we have integrated an adoption tool within our app, creating a distinct online experience that facilitates the search for loving homes for animals in need.
At Petme, we are committed to promoting the care and respect of animals. It’s a win-win situation for everyone involved, particularly the animals themselves.
Finally, we have included a built-in meme generator within the app. Memes have become a popular form of expression, and we wanted to embrace this trend by giving them a dedicated section within our platform.
These features are just the beginning. We have ambitious plans to introduce even more unique and exciting features in the future, continually enhancing our platform to meet the evolving needs and desires of our users.
What are your future plans and expected features of the coming new versions of this app?
We are developing video support, short, long, and our own version of short video formats (similar to Reels and TikToks), support for business accounts, and many other features some of which will be unique to our platform.
