Petme for Business Policy

Welcome to Petme for Business, a professional subscription service designed for businesses, organizations, and sole traders (“Business Users”) looking to connect with a dedicated community of pet owners and enthusiasts. By subscribing to Petme for Business, you agree to the following terms, which are intended to ensure transparency, compliance, and the best possible experience for all users on our platform. These terms are in addition to Petme’s Terms of Service and the Paid Accounts Terms of Service, both of which apply to all users, including Business Users.

1. Overview of Petme for Business

Petme for Business is a subscription service for businesses of all sizes, organizations, and sole traders engaged in the offering and/or sale of products or services. Business Users can:

  • Create enhanced profiles with verification checks.
  • Add pets to their profiles.
  • Advertise products and services directly to a highly engaged pet-centric audience.
  • Attach products or services to posts and appear in dedicated business sections.
  • Access analytics tools to optimize engagement and advertising performance.
  • Utilize targeted advertising to reach specific audiences based on species, breed, and pet ownership.

2. Eligibility

To create a Petme for Business account, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction.
  • Represent a legitimate business, organization, or act as a sole trader offering products or services.
  • Use your business email (unless you are a sole trader) or official government email address (if a government organisation). 
  • Have a complete profile, including an account name, bio, and profile picture.
  • Ensure your business or activities comply with applicable laws, regulations, and Petme’s Terms of Service.
  • Not represent parody, fan accounts, or fictional identities unless directly affiliated with your brand.
  • Only Business Users are allowed to offer and sell products and/or services on the Platform. 
  • Personal or individual accounts are not allowed on Petme for Business. 

In addition, your website (if linked to your profile) must meet the following requirements:

  • Contact Information: Clearly display accurate contact information, such as a phone number, email address, “Contact Us” form, or business address.
  • Return or Refund Policy: Provide a clear return or refund policy, including any relevant timeframes and conditions for returns or refunds. If no returns or refunds are offered, this must be explicitly stated.
  • Shipping Policy: Include a transparent shipping policy, if applicable, with expected delivery timelines and any applicable conditions.
  • Secure Checkout Process: Ensure all payment transactions occur over a secure processing server (SSL-protected) with a valid SSL certificate.
  • Accurate Representation: The website content must truthfully represent the business, products, and services advertised on the Platform.
  • Compliance and Ownership: The business or trader must be the rightful owner of the website and ensure it does not misrepresent the business, sell illegal goods, or engage in any prohibited activities.

3. Subscription Plans and Features

Petme for Business is available worldwide, offering a range of subscription plans to suit your needs. The prices listed below apply to most users based in the EU, and pricing may vary depending on your location. The exact price will be displayed during the checkout process when purchasing the subscription through your app store.

  • Monthly Plan: €19.99 per month.
  • 6-Month Plan: €99.95 (€16.66 per month, 1 month free).
  • Annual Plan: €179.91 (€14.99 per month, 3 months free).

Included Features:

  • Verification check.
  • Enhanced profile options.
  • Links to websites displayed on profiles and comments.
  • Placement in a dedicated business discovery section. 
  • Analytics for posts, engagement, and user behavior.
  • Priority support.

Additional Features Available as In-App Purchases:

Some advanced features are not included in the base subscription and can be purchased separately within the app:

  • Priority placement in search results and discovery sections.
  • Ad targeting by pet-related preferences (e.g., species, breed, location).
  • Boosted posts for enhanced visibility.
  • Ad banners in the discovery section. 

4. Conduct and Content Requirements

Business Users must:

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Ensure their activities align with Petme’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
  • Avoid misleading, deceptive, or inappropriate content in profiles, posts, or advertisements.
  • Accurately represent products and services, ensuring that all information provided is clear and truthful.
  • Regularly update information, ensuring product availability and pricing are accurate.
  • Avoid clickbait, unethical, or illegal practices in content, marketing strategies, and interactions on the Platform.

Prohibited Activities:

  1. Intellectual Property Violations: Posting content or listing products that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights.
  2. Harmful or Illegal Content: Promoting hate speech, violence, harmful substances, or any illegal activity.
  3. Fraudulent Practices: Engaging in scams, misleading users, or providing false claims about products or services.
  4. Impersonation: Pretending to represent other businesses or individuals without authorization.
  5. Inappropriate Content: Posting explicit, offensive, or otherwise unsuitable material.

5. Offering Products or Services on the Platform

When using the Platform to offer products or services, Business Users must:

  • Ensure all listed products or services comply with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide accurate and clear descriptions of products or services, including pricing, availability, and relevant conditions.
  • Display a transparent return, refund, and shipping policy on their profiles and/or linked websites.

Prohibited Categories:

  1. Counterfeit or Illegal Goods: Includes fake branded items, unlicensed replicas, and goods prohibited by law.
  2. Weapons and Explosives: Firearms, ammunition, knives, and explosive materials.
  3. Live Animals: Selling live pets, livestock, or wildlife.
  4. Drugs and Paraphernalia: Prescription medications, recreational drugs, and drug-related accessories.
  5. Health and Wellness Supplements: Unverified supplements, anabolic steroids, and similar products.
  6. Hate Speech or Violent Products: Items promoting hate groups, violence, or harm.
  7. Hazardous Materials: Chemicals, flammable substances, or other dangerous goods.
  8. Stolen Goods: Any item that is suspected or known to be stolen.
  9. Adult Content: Pornography, sexually explicit materials, or suggestive items.
  10. Tobacco and Related Products: Cigarettes, vaping products, and accessories.
  11. Political Content: Items related to political campaigns, propaganda, or controversial legislation.
  12. Restricted Financial Products: Cryptocurrencies, unauthorized gift cards, or financial instruments.

Technical Requirements:

  • Products must be listed with up-to-date information, accurate pricing, and appropriate images.
  • Links must direct users to secure checkout pages or accurate product/service landing pages.
  • Descriptions must avoid excessive capitalization, symbols, or clickbait language.

Quality Standards:

  • Listings must not mislead users with false claims or incomplete information.
  • Profiles and listings must maintain a professional appearance.
  • Linked websites with disruptive landing pages, such as those with pop-ups or automatic downloads, are not permitted.

Responsibility for Transactions:

  • Business Users are solely responsible for managing all transactions, including processing payments, shipping, and handling customer inquiries or disputes.
  • Petme does not facilitate or guarantee transactions between users and Business Users. Any disputes arising from transactions must be resolved directly between the parties involved.

6. Verification and Account Management

  • Verification checks are provided upon subscription to distinguish verified business accounts, ensuring trust and authenticity. However, verification is subject to an eligibility review. If your account does not meet the required criteria, Petme reserves the right to delay, suspend, or remove the verification check until compliance is ensured.
  • Verification checks may also be revoked if the account fails to comply with the Petme Terms of Service, the Petme for Business Policy, or the Petme Paid Accounts Terms of Service. Petme reserves the right to assess ongoing eligibility for verification status.
  • Account suspension or termination may occur if a business account violates Petme’s rules, eligibility criteria, or engages in activities inconsistent with the platform’s standards. Our goal is to maintain a trusted and engaging community for all users.

Subscription Management

  • All subscriptions, including changes, renewals, or cancellations, must be managed through your app store settings (Apple App Store or Google Play Store) or through the Petme website for direct purchases. Petme does not have the ability to manually process or cancel subscriptions initiated through third-party platforms.

Account Conversion

  • Petme allows users to transform a personal account into a business account to access the enhanced features and benefits offered by the Petme for Business service. However, once an account has been converted to a business account, it cannot be reverted to a personal account. If you wish to switch back, you would need to create a new personal account. Please note that the subscription and associated features of the business account are non-transferable and will remain tied to the converted account.

Cancellation Policy

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time for any reason. Simply navigate to your app store settings or Petme account settings to manage your subscription. Cancellation is quick, easy, and transparent.
  • Subscriptions are set to auto-renew to ensure uninterrupted access to features, but you can cancel to prevent renewal at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  • There are no penalties or fees for canceling your subscription.
  • Petme is unable to offer refunds or prorate charges for unused subscription periods unless required by law. However, once you cancel, you retain access to the paid features for the remainder of the current billing cycle.

7. Analytics and Advertising

Petme for Business provides a suite of analytics and advertising tools to help businesses optimize their presence and engagement on the platform.

Analytics Tools

Business Users gain access to robust analytics features that offer insights into:

    • Post Engagement: Track likes, comments, shares, and other interactions to understand what content resonates most with your audience.
    • Ad Performance: Evaluate the effectiveness of your advertisements, including impressions, clicks, and views, to refine your strategies.

Advertising Features

Petme’s advertising tools allow businesses to create and manage highly targeted campaigns designed to reach pet enthusiasts. These tools are available as optional in-app purchases and include:

    • Targeted Advertising: Businesses can define their audience based on factors such as pet ownership, breed preferences, and geographic location.
    • Boosted Posts: Increase the visibility of individual posts to a broader audience beyond your followers.
    • Priority Placement in Search Results and Discovery Sections: Gain top placement in relevant searches and featured sections, ensuring higher visibility.

These in-app purchase options are designed to provide flexibility and scalability for businesses with varying advertising needs. Pricing for these features will be displayed during the checkout process within the app.

8. Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution

This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Estonian law. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Estonia.

9. Termination and Enforcement

Enforcement Philosophy

All Business Users are required to adhere to the guidelines and requirements set forth in this Policy. Violations of these requirements, actions contrary to Petme’s purpose or principles, or behavior that undermines the Platform’s integrity, harms its users, or otherwise disrupts its operations may result in enforcement actions. These measures aim to protect the community and ensure a safe, transparent, and trustworthy environment for all users.

Eligibility Requirement Enforcement

  • Account Creation: If you do not meet the eligibility requirements for a Business Account, you will not be able to create one.
  • Feature Access: If you fail to meet the eligibility requirements for specific Business Account features (e.g., enhanced profiles or verification), access to those features may be restricted or denied.
  • Ongoing Compliance: If you initially meet the eligibility requirements but later fail to comply, Petme reserves the right to pause or revoke your access to Business Account features. This includes but is not limited to revocation of verification status, visibility of products or services, and other premium benefits.

Conduct and Content Requirement Enforcement

Violations of the Conduct and Content Requirements will be addressed based on their severity, context, and any prior history of infractions. Actions Petme may take include, but are not limited to:

  • Visibility Limitations: Reducing the visibility of your account and posts in search results, discovery sections, and algorithmic recommendations.
  • Feature Suspension or Revocation: Temporarily or permanently suspending access to Business Accounts, premium features, or advertising tools.
  • Content Actions: Hiding content pending removal, requiring you to remove violating content, or removing it directly.
  • Transaction Suspension: Temporarily or permanently suspending the ability to attach products or services to posts.
  • Verification Revocation: Removing verification status and its associated benefits for non-compliance.

Compromised Accounts

If Petme detects that your account has been compromised in any way, it may take the following actions to protect you and the community:

  • Temporary Disabling: Disabling the Business Account interface temporarily until the account can be secured.
  • Promotion Pauses: Pausing active promotions or advertisements until the account is restored and verified as secure.

Termination of Accounts

If your account is suspended or terminated due to violations of this Policy, Petme’s Terms of Service, or the Petme Paid Accounts Terms of Service:

  1. Access Revocation: You may be prevented from accessing your Business Account, associated features, and any active promotions or advertisements.
  2. No Refund Policy: No refund of subscription fees will be provided, even if the suspension or termination occurs before the end of the current billing period. This includes situations where you are unable to use the service or its features due to enforcement actions.
  3. Permanent Removal: In severe cases, Petme reserves the right to permanently terminate your Business Account, remove all associated content, and bar you from creating a new account on the Platform.

Appeals

Business Users may appeal enforcement actions by contacting Petme support team at support@petme.social. Appeals must provide evidence to address the violation(s) and demonstrate compliance with this Policy.
