A second safety net during the sitter's stay
Pet emergencies happen. A dog ingests something at the park, a cat reacts to a new food, an injury during a sitter walk. Most owners have a regular Swedish pet insurance (Agria, Folksam, Hedvig, Sveland, Trygg-Hansa) for year-round care. Petme's Protection Plan is a separate layer specifically active during the sitter's stay.
Coverage extends up to €20,000 (approximately 230,000 SEK at current exchange) per booking for qualifying veterinary expenses. Automatically activated when the booking is confirmed, not an opt-in. No separate enrollment process, no waiting period, no premium tier.
Petme's Protection Plan does not replace your existing Swedish pet insurance, it complements it. For incidents during the sitter's stay, both can apply: Petme covers the bulk, your regular policy may also engage depending on the condition. For routine care, annual checkups, and chronic conditions, your regular insurance remains the primary coverage.
