FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is there a service fee for owners?
No. Petme charges pet owners 0% service fee. You only pay the sitter's rate, and you earn automatic cashback on every completed booking.
How much does dog boarding cost in Geelong?
Overnight dog boarding in Geelong costs A$55–A$90 per night. Rates vary by suburb, dog size, and length of stay. Multi-night stays often come with a discount.
Where does my dog stay?
At the sitter's home. Every Petme boarding sitter hosts a small number of dogs at a time, so your dog gets attention and couch time, not a kennel run.
Are boarding sitters in Geelong vetted?
Yes. Every sitter passes identity and background checks. The Protection Plan can contribute up to A$32,000 toward eligible vet costs.
Can I meet the sitter before I book?
Yes. Set up a free meet and greet through chat before the first booking. You drop off the dog, hand over food and bedding, and confirm everything in person.
What about my dog's diet and meds?
Add diet and medication notes to your booking. Sitters confirm before accepting and stick to the routine you set.
How far ahead should I book in Geelong?
A few days is usually enough in Geelong. Sitters here cover a wider radius than in the capitals, so a meet and greet before the first booking saves time later.
Where will my dog sleep?
Wherever you agree. Some Geelong sitters allow dogs on the sofa or the bed, others set up a crate or a bed in a quiet room. Ask at the meet and greet and match it to what your dog does at home, because that is what settles them on the first night.
