About Pet Sitting in Aalst
Aalst sits along the River Dender, offering pet owners lovely waterside paths and green spaces throughout the city. The Stadspark near the center is a go-to spot for quick dog walks, while the Osbroek nature reserve on the edge of town provides wetland trails and meadows where dogs can roam more freely. The Dender towpath stretches in both directions and makes for a peaceful, flat route perfect for daily exercise with your pet.
Aalst's deelgemeenten each have a distinct, community-oriented feel that makes them great for pet owners. Erembodegem and Hofstade to the north are quiet residential areas with gardens and local parks. Moorsel and Baardegem to the east offer a semi-rural setting with open fields and farm roads for longer walks. Nieuwerkerken and Herdersem provide easy access to the Dender valley, and Gijzegem rounds out the options with a peaceful, village-like atmosphere.
