Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about finding a cat sitter in Canada

How do I find a cat sitter near me in Canada?
Download the Petme app, enter your location, and browse verified cat sitters in your area. You can filter by service type, availability, and price range. All sitters have real reviews from other cat owners.
Are Petme cat sitters background-checked?
Yes. Every sitter on Petme goes through a verification process before they can accept bookings. We check identity, review their profile, and require them to agree to our pet care standards.
What does the CAD 32,000 Protection Plan include?
Every booking made through Petme includes up to CAD 32,000 under the Petme Protection Plan. This covers unexpected accidents or illnesses that occur while your cat is in a sitter's care.
Can I meet the sitter before booking?
Absolutely. We encourage a meet-and-greet before any first booking so your cat can get comfortable with their new sitter. You can arrange this directly through the Petme app.
What if my cat needs medication?
Many of our sitters are experienced with administering medication. You can specify medication needs in your booking request, and only sitters comfortable with those requirements will accept.
