FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is Petme available across Finland?
Yes. Verified sitters operate in Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere, Vantaa, Turku, Oulu, Jyväskylä, Lahti, Kuopio, Pori, Joensuu, Lappeenranta, Vaasa, Hämeenlinna, Rovaniemi and more.
How much can I save with the 0% owner fee?
On a typical five-night dog boarding booking at 38 €/night, you save 29-42 € in pet-owner service fees alone. Add automatic cashback and the effective saving grows with every booking.
Are background checks real?
Yes. Every sitter passes identity verification with a government ID and a background check before their profile goes live. Profiles with falsified information are removed.
Do I need separate vet insurance?
No. The Protection Plan can contribute up to 20,000 € toward eligible vet costs. Important during long stays or in regions like Lapland where emergency vets are sparse.
What about mökki (cottage) bookings?
Lots. Mökki house-sitting peaks in June-August. Petme protection and verification cover cottage stays the same as city bookings, so summer-cottage owners can travel without worrying about pets back home.
