About doggy daycare in Sligo

Sligo sits between Knocknarea and Benbulben, with the Garavogue River running through the town and Lough Gill on its eastern side. Sligo Mac Diarmada station is the end of the Dublin to Sligo line, and the N4, N15, N16 and N17 all meet at the town.

Garavogue riverside: the banks of the Garavogue River through the town were redeveloped along Rockwood Parade, JFK Parade and The Riverside. Knocknarea: the mountain that dominates the skyline west of the town, capped by the cairn Miosgán Médhbh. Lough Gill: a lake beside the town, with stretches of temperate rainforest around its shores. Strandhill: a seaside village about 8 km west of the town, known for surfing.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does doggy daycare cost in Sligo?
A full daycare day in Sligo costs €18–€32. Half-day rates run €12–€22. Discounts often apply for recurring weekday bookings.
What does a daycare day look like?
Drop-off in the morning, a walk, supervised play with the sitter's family and any compatible dogs, lunch, a nap, an afternoon walk, then pickup. You get a midday photo update.
Is the daycare a kennel?
No. Every Petme daycare is a real home. Sitters host a small number of dogs at a time, so your dog gets attention, not a kennel run.
Can I drop off the same dog every weekday?
Yes. Recurring weekday daycare is the most common Petme booking in Ireland. Lock in a sitter you trust and set a weekly schedule.
Are daycare sitters in Sligo verified?
Yes. Every sitter passes identity and background checks. The Protection Plan can contribute up to €20,000 toward eligible vet costs.
Is there a service fee for pet owners?
No. Petme charges pet owners 0% service fee. You only pay the sitter's rate, and you earn automatic cashback on every completed day.
