Care close to home in Tilburg

Rates in Tilburg are set by each sitter, not by a central price list, so two profiles in Korvel and Oud-Noord can differ for the same nights. Read what is included, look at the reviews, and compare on the whole picture rather than on the lowest number.

The cashback maths

What you save on a typical booking

Worked example: a five-night dog boarding stay in Tilburg at 35 euro per night.

	Fee-charging platforms	Petme
Sitter rate (5 nights × 35 euro)	175 euro	175 euro
Pet-owner service fee	26-38 euro	0 euro
Booking subtotal	201-213 euro	175 euro
Cashback earned on Petme	-	-9 euro
Effective cost	201-213 euro	166 euro

The typical platforms column stands for the market norm of billing the owner a service fee. On Petme that line is zero, so the saving is real before cashback is counted at all.

Comparison

Petme vs other platforms

Other platforms

Care means dropping your pet off somewhere unfamiliar.

The total depends on when you book and for how long.

When something goes wrong mid-booking, who pays is an open question.

How sitters are screened is hard to pin down.

Petme

Care can mean the sitter coming to your door, which suits most cats and older dogs.

The sitter's rate is what you see, and owners are charged no platform fee on it.

The Protection Plan can contribute toward eligible vet costs when something goes wrong.

Every sitter clears identity verification and a background check before going live.

Protection and cashback

Protection and cashback, automatic

Protection Plan up to 20,000 euro

The Protection Plan can contribute up to 20,000 euro toward eligible vet costs, on drop-in visits as much as on boarding.

Automatic cashback, no signup, no opt-in

Cashback is credited to your in-app balance once a booking is completed. There is nothing to claim and no code to enter. The balance waits until your next booking in Tilburg and comes straight off what you owe.

How it works

Compare sitters near you

Arrange the introduction

Meet the sitter with your pet present. It costs nothing, and it answers more than a dozen messages would.

Book and keep the record

Dates, rate and messages all stay in the app, so there is one place to check what was agreed and when.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

what should I leave for the sitter

Food and how much of it, the walk or feeding times, any medication, the vet's address and a way to reach you. Keys and the alarm code go over in person at the meet and greet. Most owners write the routine down once and leave it on the kitchen table.

can I meet the sitter before booking in Tilburg

Yes, and a meet and greet is free. It usually happens at your own address, so the sitter sees where the food is kept and how your pet behaves at home. Keys, feeding times and any medication go over at that meeting, and you book afterwards if it feels right.

how far ahead should I book a sitter in Tilburg

Earlier than feels necessary, especially around school holidays and long weekends when many Tilburg households travel in the same fortnight. Availability differs per sitter and per week, so message a few profiles rather than waiting on one reply to come back.

can my cat stay at home instead of going to a cattery

Yes. A sitter comes to your flat for drop-in visits, feeds, refreshes the water, cleans the tray and spends time with the cat. Your cat never travels, never meets other animals, and keeps its own routine while you are away. You agree how many visits a day at the meet and greet.

is Petme a website or an app

Both, with different jobs. You can read sitter profiles and city pages on the website, while messaging, booking and cashback all happen in the iOS and Android app. That keeps every message and every payment on one record you can go back to later.

do I have to be in the same neighbourhood as the sitter

No, but it usually helps. A sitter who lives near you in Tilburg means a shorter handover, easier drop-ins and walks on streets your dog already knows. Profiles show where the sitter is based, so you can start with the ones closest to your address and widen out if you need to.
