About Pet Sitting in Aurora
Aurora is the City of Lights , Illinois' second-largest city of approximately 180,000, the first U.S. city to use electric street lighting, and a vibrant Chicagoland community anchored by the Fox River. Aurora spans Kane and DuPage counties along the Fox River Valley, serving as the western gateway to the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
The Fox River Trail runs through the heart of Aurora, providing miles of paved multi-use path for dog walking, jogging, and cycling along the scenic Fox River. Phillips Park, anchoring the city's east side, is home to a zoo, nature areas, and walking paths that attract Aurora's outdoor-oriented pet owners year-round.
Aurora's diverse neighborhoods range from the historic brick-lined streets of Downtown Aurora and the West Side to the master-planned communities of Stonebridge and Lakewood Valley on the outer edges. The Illinois Prairie Path, a historic converted rail trail, connects Aurora to communities across DuPage County, giving dog walkers access to one of the Chicago region's most beloved trail networks.
