About Pet Sitting in Surprise
Surprise is the Great Surprise , a fast-growing Arizona city of approximately 147,000 in the Northwest Valley of metro Phoenix, one of the fastest-growing cities in the United States over the past two decades. Incorporated in 1938 from a single acre of land, Surprise has expanded dramatically to become a major suburban community known for its planned neighborhoods, Spring Training baseball, and outstanding access to Sonoran Desert recreation.
White Tank Mountain Regional Park, located on Surprise's western edge, is the largest regional park in Maricopa County , covering 29,520 acres of rugged Sonoran Desert terrain with 40+ miles of trails through saguaro cactus forests, granite boulders, and the White Tank Mountains. The park's diverse trail system, from easy washes to strenuous summit hikes, makes it the premier outdoor destination for Surprise families and their dogs seeking desert wilderness within the Phoenix metro area.
Surprise Community Park, in the city's established core, provides extensive recreation facilities with open lawns, sports fields, and a dog-friendly trail loop. The Luke-Greenway Regional Trail, a 15-mile off-road trail corridor connecting Surprise to the broader West Valley regional trail network, gives Surprise residents one of the metro area's most developed long-distance walking and cycling routes accessible from the Northwest Valley.
