I’ve raised a pug and chihuahua. I taught my chihuahua how to sit and ring the bell when she needs to go potty, and my pug knows how to sit and stares at us when he needs to go potty. They both were trained differently and have different ways they want to express their feelings to us. I find that we should accommodate to our furry friends, because like humans they all come with different personalities! I volunteered at a shelter tending for the animals. I took care of a elderly blind poodle one evening, being able to make dogs comfortable without them seeing you directly is important as well. I can get dogs and cats comfortable easily, it takes patience, but we must have that for our pets as well!
