I've been caring for my aunt's family dog, Ariel, for five years, since I was 15. I visit once a week while the family is out, and I look after everything from playtime and baths to cleaning up. Ariel can be a bit spirited, with the occasional tantrum, but I've learned how to calm her down and gently guide her from one place to another. She's also a slow eater, so I've become very patient at spoon-feeding her and making sure she's well fed, however long it takes. Back home in Singapore, I spent time with my friends' and family's dogs almost every day, so I'm confident reading a dog's mood and giving each one the attention and routine they need.
