Caring for your pets like they're my own

Animals have been an essential part of my life since I was born. Growing up with dogs, cats, and rabbits has given me years of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of their different personalities, behaviours, and needs. My passion for animal care began in childhood, when I dreamed of becoming a veterinarian. Although my career path eventually took a different direction, my dedication to animals has never changed. Over the years, I have developed a thoughtful and attentive approach to pet care, treating every animal as if they were my own. I pay close attention to their body language, behaviour, and individual routines, allowing me to recognise their needs, understand their personalities, and build trusting relationships with them. I believe that patience, empathy, and careful observation are essential to making every pet feel safe, comfortable, and loved. My practical experience includes caring for dogs with a wide range of temperaments and needs, including energetic and highly active dogs, more challenging or strong-willed personalities, senior dogs, and puppies. I understand the importance of adapting my approach to each animal, whether that means providing stimulating activities, maintaining consistent routines, offering gentle reassurance, or allowing extra time and patience. I am also comfortable administering medication when clear instructions are provided, while always prioritising the animal’s safety and well-being. Walks are one of my favourite parts of caring for dogs. I enjoy long walks that allow them to explore, exercise, and engage with their surroundings at their own pace. At the same time, I take safety very seriously. I keep dogs securely on a lead, particularly in unenclosed areas and unfamiliar environments, and remain attentive to their surroundings at all times. I approach every pet-sitting commitment with responsibility, reliability, and genuine care. I have recently relocated to the area of Zaandam (5th october 2026), so I am still getting to know the local community. Although I am new to the area, caring for animals is something I have been passionate about and experienced in throughout my life. I look forward to building trusting relationships with local pet owners and providing their beloved companions with the same level of care, attention, and dedication I would give my own. My goal is not simply to look after animals, but to ensure they feel secure, understood, and cared for while their owners are away. I want every owner to feel confident knowing that their beloved companion is in attentive, capable, and caring hands.
