Pick a Petme sitter if
Your dog is anxious in kennels, has a complex routine, needs medication, or you want photo updates throughout the stay. House sitting works best for dogs strongly attached to their own home.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which is cheaper in Slovenia, a dog hotel or a Petme sitter?
Prices overlap. Pasji hoteli charge €22–€26 per night with extras for grooming or holidays. Petme in-home sitters charge €15–€30 per night with 0% owner fee and €20,000 Protection Plan included.
Is a dog hotel safer than a sitter?
Both routes have their place. Hotels offer 24/7 supervision in a fixed facility. Petme sitters host fewer dogs at a time and your dog sleeps on a sofa instead of in a kennel run. The Petme Protection Plan can contribute up to €20,000 toward eligible vet costs.
What about anxious dogs?
Anxious dogs usually settle better in a home environment than a kennel. Drop-in visits or a sitter staying overnight in your own home (house sitting) keep the routine even more intact.
Do dog hotels in Slovenia accept all breeds?
Most accept all breeds with vaccinations and microchipping; some charge extra for large or intact dogs. Petme sitters set their own preferences, but you can filter for large-dog-friendly sitters in the app.
What if my dog needs medication?
Dog hotels typically accept medication routines for an extra fee. Many Petme sitters administer pills, drops, or insulin at no surcharge; mention it in the booking request and the sitter confirms before accepting.
