Local know-how pays off in Congleton

Congleton gets rain in every season, frosty spells in winter and short days from November. On a cat round that means checking the heating and the windows, drying a cat that comes in wet, and fitting visits into daylight when the owner asks for it.

When owners travel

Cat visits peak over the summer holidays, Christmas and New Year, with a second wave on the February, May and October half-terms and the bank-holiday weekends. Outside those dates, weekday visits cover work trips and weekends away.

Common questions

Cat Sitting Jobs in Congleton

What new sitters ask before signing up on Petme in Congleton.

How much do cat sitters earn per visit in Congleton?
Drop-in cat visits on Petme in Congleton run £10 to £16 per 20 to 30 minute visit. You set your own rate per visit, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.
What does a typical cat sitting visit involve?
A standard drop-in runs 20 to 30 minutes: feeding, fresh water, litter scooping, playtime, and a photo update to the owner in chat. Many Congleton owners book one or two visits a day while they travel.
Can I set my own visit schedule in Congleton?
Yes. You set your available hours and accept or decline each request. Morning and evening visit slots fill first, and you can stack several nearby visits around Buglawton and Mossley into one efficient round.
What protection do I get on cat sitting bookings?
Every confirmed Petme booking, including drop-in visits, includes £20,000 in Protection Plan for the cat in your care, at no cost to you or the owner. The same cover applies whether you sit in Buglawton or Mossley.
Where is cat sitting demand strongest in Congleton?
Congleton, Buglawton, Mossley, West Heath and Astbury all share CW12. Most cat owners book a sitter within their own neighborhood, so listing the areas you cover sharpens your visibility.
What should I check on a winter cat visit in Congleton?
Check the home as well as the cat. On a Congleton winter visit that means confirming the heating is still on, topping up water that sits near a draughty window, keeping the litter and feeding routine exactly as the owner left it, and sending the owner a short note if anything looks wrong.
Where in Congleton can I take cat visits?
Anywhere in CW12 you can reach for each booking, including Buglawton, Mossley, West Heath and Astbury. Owners choose someone close, so list those areas on your Petme profile rather than Cheshire East.
Can I cover Congleton and Macclesfield together?
For a few homes near the A536 between them, perhaps. The towns are about 11 km apart and Macclesfield has its own page. A twice-daily cat visit needs a short trip, so keep most of your Congleton round inside the town.
