A local edge

Local know-how pays off in Wrexham

Wrexham gets rain in every season, frosty spells in winter and short days from November. On a cat round that means checking the heating and the windows, drying a cat that comes in wet, and fitting visits into daylight when the owner asks for it.

When owners travel

Cat visits peak over the summer holidays, Christmas and New Year, with a second wave on the February, May and October half-terms and the bank-holiday weekends. Outside those dates, weekday visits cover work trips and weekends away.

Know your Wrexham areas

Rhosddu, Garden Village and Gwersyllt run north of the centre, Acton sits to the north east, and Caia Park and Hermitage lie to the south east. A cat in Gwersyllt should not wait while you cross town.

Common questions

Cat Sitting Jobs in Wrexham

What new sitters ask before signing up on Petme in Wrexham.

How much do cat sitters earn per visit in Wrexham?
Drop-in cat visits on Petme in Wrexham run £11 to £18 per 20 to 30 minute visit. You set your own rate per visit, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.
Where is cat sitting demand strongest in Wrexham?
Central Wrexham, Rhosddu and Gwersyllt are LL11. Most cat owners book a sitter within their own neighborhood, so listing the areas you cover sharpens your visibility.
What does a typical cat sitting visit involve?
A standard drop-in runs 20 to 30 minutes: feeding, fresh water, litter scooping, playtime, and a photo update to the owner in chat. Many Wrexham owners book one or two visits a day while they travel.
Can I set my own visit schedule in Wrexham?
Yes. You set your available hours and accept or decline each request. Morning and evening visit slots fill first, and you can stack several nearby visits around Rhosddu and Garden Village into one efficient round.
What protection do I get on cat sitting bookings?
The Petme Protection Plan offers up to £20,000 for eligible vet costs for the cat in your care, subject to its terms. The same terms apply whether you sit in Rhosddu or Garden Village.
What should I check on a winter cat visit in Wrexham?
Check the home as well as the cat. On a Wrexham winter visit that means confirming the heating is still on, topping up water that sits near a draughty window, keeping the litter and feeding routine exactly as the owner left it, and sending the owner a short note if anything looks wrong.
Where in Wrexham can I take cat visits?
Whichever of Rhosddu or Garden Village is nearer to you is the natural place to start. The centre, Rhosddu and Gwersyllt are LL11, Acton is LL12, and Rhosnesni and Caia Park are LL13. List those areas on your Petme profile so owners see that you cover them.
Can I write my Wrexham profile in Welsh?
Yes. Write it in the language your owners use, or both. Wrexham has Welsh speakers alongside English speakers, and a profile that greets an owner in Welsh can help on a first message. Booking, chat and payment work the same way either way.
