FAQ

Dog boarding in Inverness: common questions

How much are kennels in Inverness compared with home boarding?
Boarding sitters in Inverness usually charge around £24 to £38 a night. Each sitter sets their own rate and you see it before you book, with a 0% booking fee on top. Kennel prices are set by each kennel, so compare the nightly rate, the walks and what is included.
Does Petme charge owners a fee?
Petme charges owners a 0% booking fee. You pay the price the boarding sitter sets with nothing added at checkout, and you earn cashback on every completed booking toward a later one.
Dog boarding or kennels in Inverness: what is the difference?
Home dog boarding means your dog stays in an Inverness sitter's own home rather than a kennel run. Ask about walks, sleeping arrangements and other pets when you message the sitter, and agree the routine before the stay.
Which parts of Inverness do boarding sitters cover?
Search from your own part of Inverness to see the boarding sitters near you, then message them to check they can reach your street. Owners in Inverness and nearby areas such as Inshes, Balloch and Culloden search the same way.
When is dog boarding busiest in Inverness?
Book early for the school holidays in Inverness, when many owners travel at once. In Scotland the summer break starts in late June. Sitters set their own calendars, so check dates with the boarding sitter when you message them.
How does Petme cashback work?
Cashback is credited to your Petme balance once a stay is complete, capped at £20 per booking, and you can use it on a later booking. That is how each completed stay makes the next one cheaper. It is reversed if the booking is cancelled or refunded.
Are boarding sitters in Inverness checked?
Yes. Every boarding sitter on Petme passes ID and background checks before their profile goes live. You can read reviews from past bookings and message the sitter before you book, and the Protection Plan can contribute up to £20,000 toward eligible vet costs.
