FAQ

Dog boarding in Northampton: common questions

How much does dog boarding cost in Northampton?
Boarding sitters in Northampton usually charge around £24 to £38 a night. Each sitter sets their own rate and you see it before you book. Petme adds a 0% booking fee, so that rate is the whole price.
Is it safe to book a Northampton boarding sitter?
Every boarding sitter on Petme passes ID and background checks before their profile goes live. You can read reviews from past bookings and message the sitter before you book, and the Protection Plan can contribute up to £20,000 toward eligible vet costs.
Is there a booking fee on Petme?
Petme charges owners a 0% booking fee. You pay the price the boarding sitter sets with nothing added at checkout, and you earn cashback on every completed booking toward a later one.
Is home dog boarding in Northampton an alternative to kennels?
Yes. With home dog boarding your dog stays in a Northampton sitter's own home rather than a kennel run. Ask about walks, sleeping arrangements and other pets when you message the sitter, and agree the routine before the stay.
Which parts of Northampton do boarding sitters cover?
Search from your own part of Northampton to see the boarding sitters near you, then message them to check they can reach your street. Owners in Northampton and nearby areas such as Abington, Kingsthorpe and Duston search the same way.
When should I book dog boarding in Northampton?
Book early for the school holidays in Northampton, when many owners travel at once. In England the longest break is late July to the end of August. Sitters set their own calendars, so check dates with the boarding sitter when you message them.
How does cashback make my next booking cheaper?
Cashback is credited to your Petme balance once a stay is complete, capped at £20 per booking, and you can use it on a later booking. That is how each completed stay makes the next one cheaper. It is reversed if the booking is cancelled or refunded.
