Doggy Daycare Jobs in Glasgow

Doggy daycare work in Glasgow, where tenement flats and long shifts fill the daytime

Glasgow works long weekday shifts and a lot of the city lives in tenement flats with no garden, so dogs need somewhere to spend the day instead of waiting alone. That is the gap Petme daycare hosts fill, taking a few dogs in the morning and handing them back happy after work. Doggy daycare in Glasgow runs £20 to £34 per day, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.

A local edge

Local know-how pays off in Glasgow

Glasgow has a wet maritime climate with rain spread across the year, frosty spells in winter, and short winter days that leave a narrow window of daylight. Walkers who carry a raincoat and a towel, plan sheltered routes on the wettest days, and hold their slots through the drizzle keep the regulars that fair-weather walkers lose.

When owners travel

Demand peaks over the summer holidays and across Christmas and New Year, with a second wave on the February, May and October half-terms and the bank-holiday weekends. Boarding and house sitting lead when owners travel; walking, daycare and drop-in visits carry the commuting week.

Know your Glasgow pickup areas

Most daycare bookings cluster West End to Finnieston. Owners drop off on the way to work and collect afterwards, so an easy run to your door matters more than how far you are willing to travel. Your space decides how many dogs you take at once.

Breeds you will meet in Glasgow

Owners here mostly keep Labrador Retriever, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Knowing how those breeds behave, and saying so on your profile, is what turns a first booking into a repeat client.

Daycare in Glasgow

Daytime dog care across Glasgow

Daycare suits flat-dwelling owners with office jobs and long commutes, and the West End, Finnieston and the Southside have plenty of them. Merchant City, Dennistoun and Partick have a similar mix, and a host near Kelvingrove Park has easy walk breaks on the doorstep. Working two or three neighbouring areas keeps drop-offs and pick-ups tight rather than driving across the city each morning.

Common questions

Doggy Daycare Jobs in Glasgow

What new sitters ask before signing up on Petme in Glasgow.

Are there jobs in Glasgow?
Yes. Owners in Glasgow send booking requests to sitters who cover their area. You accept or decline each one. You set the rate per service and get paid through the app.
Are there jobs in Glasgow West End?
Yes. Pet owners across Glasgow book sitters through the Petme app. You pick the services you want to offer, set a rate for each, and keep up to 90% of what a booking pays.
What other pet services can I offer alongside doggy daycare in Glasgow?
You control the mix. Turn dog walking on next to doggy daycare, set what each is worth to you, and let Glasgow owners pick. Declining a request never affects the other service.
What is the quickest way to find doggy daycare jobs near me in Glasgow?
There is no job board to scroll. Your profile carries the Glasgow areas you work in, and doggy daycare requests arrive from owners in those areas for you to accept or decline.
How much do doggy daycare hosts earn per day in Glasgow?
Doggy daycare on Petme in Glasgow runs £20 to £34 per day. You set your own day rate and headcount, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.
What does a doggy daycare day involve?
Owners drop off in the morning and pick up after work. You provide a safe space, supervised play, water, rest time, and photo updates through the day. Most Glasgow hosts take a small group they can manage comfortably.
Do I need a yard or a commercial space for daycare in Glasgow?
No. Many Petme hosts run daycare from a home or an apartment with regular walk breaks, from West End to Merchant City. You set how many dogs you accept at once and whether your space suits high-energy or large breeds.
Can I set my own daycare schedule and headcount in Glasgow?
Yes. You choose your days, your hours, and how many dogs you host at a time, and you accept or decline each request. No assigned shifts and no minimum hours, whether owners come from West End or Merchant City.
What protection comes with daycare bookings?
Every confirmed Petme booking, including doggy daycare, includes £20,000 in Protection Plan for the dog in your care, at no cost to you or the owner. The same cover applies across West End and Merchant City.
What does a wet winter daycare day look like in Glasgow?
Shorter outdoor bursts and more indoor rest. A Glasgow daycare day in January runs on indoor play with brief garden or street breaks rather than long stretches outside, towels by the door, and muddy paws cleaned off before pick-up. Set drop-off and pick-up windows you can hold in winter traffic and stick to them.
When are drop-offs and pick-ups busiest for Glasgow daycare?
Glasgow daycare runs on the commute, so mornings from roughly 7.30 to 9 and evenings from 5 to 6.30 are the busiest windows. Owners heading into West End and city-centre workplaces drop off on the way in and collect after their shift, so being able to cover both ends of a standard working day matters to owners who need care every week.
What do I need to get started with daycare in Glasgow?
Space a dog can settle in, a routine you can keep, and the time to be home through the working day. A flat in the West End or Finnieston works as well as a house with a garden, provided the dog gets proper walk breaks. Glasgow daycare runs £20 to £34 a day and you set the group size.
