Doggy Daycare Jobs in Northampton

Doggy daycare jobs in Northampton: warehouse shifts and campus hours keep weekday dogs booked in

Northampton’s big distribution parks and the university timetable pull people out of the house all day, and their dogs need somewhere to play, nap and get walked while they’re gone. Petme daycare hosts take those weekday dogs in from a home or flat, with photo updates going back to owners who are stuck on a shift or in a lecture. Doggy daycare in Northampton runs £18 to £28 per day, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.

A local edge

Local know-how pays off in Northampton

Northampton has a wet maritime climate with rain spread across the year, frosty spells in winter, and short winter days that leave a narrow window of daylight. Walkers who carry a raincoat and a towel, plan sheltered routes on the wettest days, and hold their slots through the drizzle keep the regulars that fair-weather walkers lose.

When owners travel

Demand peaks over the summer holidays and across Christmas and New Year, with a second wave on the February, May and October half-terms and the bank-holiday weekends. Boarding and house sitting lead when owners travel; walking, daycare and drop-in visits carry the commuting week.

Know your Northampton pickup areas

Most daycare bookings cluster Abington to Duston. Owners drop off on the way to work and collect afterwards, so an easy run to your door matters more than how far you are willing to travel. Your space decides how many dogs you take at once.

Breeds you will meet in Northampton

Owners here mostly keep Labrador Retriever, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Knowing how those breeds behave, and saying so on your profile, is what turns a first booking into a repeat client.

Daycare in Northampton

Hosting daycare across Northampton

Weekday daycare in Northampton follows the working commute, with owners heading to the town centre offices and the logistics parks such as Brackmills. Abington and Wootton sit on the east and south-east sides, Kingsthorpe and Duston to the north and west, and Far Cotton and Hardingstone just south of the Nene. Holding two or three neighbouring areas beats trying to cover the whole of Northampton, since most owners want a host within a short drive of home for pick-up after work.

Common questions

Doggy Daycare Jobs in Northampton

What new sitters ask before signing up on Petme in Northampton.

Are there jobs in Kingsthorpe?

Yes. Pet owners across Northampton book sitters through the Petme app. You pick the services you want to offer, set a rate for each, and keep up to 90% of what a booking pays.
What is the quickest way to find doggy daycare jobs near me in Northampton?
Add the parts of Northampton you want to work in, then owners nearby request you directly. Because you set both the area and the rate, the doggy daycare requests that reach you are already the ones close enough to be worth taking.
Are there part-time jobs in Kingsthorpe?
Yes. You decide the shape of it. Sitters in Northampton choose their services, their rate for each one and the streets they are willing to travel to, then take only the requests that fit the week.
How much do doggy daycare hosts earn per day in Northampton?
Doggy daycare on Petme in Northampton runs £18 to £28 per day. You set your own day rate and headcount, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.
Can I set my own daycare schedule and headcount in Northampton?
Yes. You choose your days, your hours, and how many dogs you host at a time, and you accept or decline each request. No assigned shifts and no minimum hours, whether owners come from Abington or Kingsthorpe.
What protection comes with daycare bookings?
The Petme Protection Plan offers up to £20,000 for eligible vet costs for the dog in your care, subject to its terms. The same terms apply across Abington and Kingsthorpe.
What does a doggy daycare day involve?
Owners drop off in the morning and pick up after work. You provide a safe space, supervised play, water, rest time, and photo updates through the day. Most Northampton hosts take a small group they can manage comfortably.
Do I need a yard or a commercial space for daycare in Northampton?
No. Many Petme hosts run daycare from a home or an apartment with regular walk breaks, from Abington to Kingsthorpe. You set how many dogs you accept at once and whether your space suits high-energy or large breeds.
What does a wet winter daycare day look like in Northampton?
Shorter outdoor bursts and more indoor rest. A Northampton daycare day in January runs on indoor play with brief garden or street breaks rather than long stretches outside, towels by the door, and muddy paws cleaned off before pick-up. Set drop-off and pick-up windows you can hold in winter traffic and stick to them.
When do daycare drop-offs and pick-ups happen in Northampton?
Drop-off usually comes before the working day and pick-up once it ends, which in Northampton means early morning and late afternoon. The distribution parks and town centre offices set that rhythm, and you set your own hours, so you can add early or late windows for shift workers.
Should I run small-group or solo daycare in Northampton?
Both work in Northampton, and the choice depends on your space and the dogs you take. Small groups of two or three calm dogs suit a house with a garden in Kingsthorpe or Duston, while solo daycare fits a flat or a reactive dog that needs one-to-one care. You set the headcount, so start small and build from there.
