What to compare

When you compare quotes, compare the all-in number: the rate plus any checkout fee, minus cashback. On Petme that is just the rate, minus cashback.

FAQ

Pet sitter costs in London, answered

What do pet sitters charge in London?
Expect roughly £45 to £70 a night for dog boarding in London, £18 to £28 for a 30-minute walk, and a similar amount per drop-in visit. Each sitter sets and shows their own rate on their profile, and Petme charges owners a 0% service fee, so nothing is added at checkout.
Does Petme add a service fee at checkout in London?
No. Petme takes a 0% commission from owners, so a £45 night in London is billed at £45. On platforms that add a booking fee, the sitter’s listed rate is only part of the total. Here it is the whole of it, and completed bookings earn you cashback.
How much is a week of dog boarding in London?
Seven nights in London comes to about £315 to £490, on the local £45 to £70 per night band. House sitting in your own home is priced per night too, so a week is costed the same way. Petme adds no owner service fee at checkout.
Are London sitters more expensive at Christmas and half-term?
The summer holidays, Christmas and the school half-terms are the busiest travel windows in London, and the best sitters book out first. Rates can rise during those periods, so reserve two to four weeks ahead.
Why is one London sitter more expensive than another?
A second pet, medication, and reactive or senior pets can add a small premium to the London ranges above, and so can very long stays. Recurring weekly walks usually work out cheaper per walk than one-off bookings, so a standing slot costs less than ad hoc cover.
