Pet photographer jobs in the UK

Pet photographer jobs across the UK, with your shoots in the feed of owners nearby

Petme is a pet-care app with its own social feed. You post the shoots you do, and the home feed shows them first to people nearby, so owners in your city find your profile and message you. Approved sitters who pass a photography review build a menu of up to three packages and set every price themselves.

First you become a Petme sitter, then you send a separate photography application from the app.

Your shoots, seen by owners near you

On Petme, owners see your work without searching for you. The home feed shows posts from people nearby first, so your shoots reach the owners around you before anyone in another city, and the ones who like them can follow you and message you.

Post the shoots you do

Share photos and short videos from your sessions. Owners can like and comment on each post.

Nearby owners see it first

The home feed puts posts from people close by first. Owners follow you to see your next shoot.

They find you and message you

From a post, an owner reaches your profile and messages you in the app, then books one of your packages.

The bar

Who can offer pet photography on Petme

Pet photography has its own review on top of an approved sitter profile. The application asks for a portfolio, one proof of paid work and your declarations. If it is not approved, you can apply again after 15 days.

An approved, ID-verified sitter

You pass the same ID verification as every Petme sitter before the photography review starts.

A portfolio of animal photos

Photos of animals that show how you shoot, how you edit and how you handle pets on location.

Proof of paid professional work

At least one of three: a business registration, a client invoice, or a professional website or social profile.

Where you shoot

At the owner's home, outdoors or in your studio

At the owner's home

You travel to the owner inside the radius you choose.

Outdoors

You meet the owner at a spot they name, such as a park or a street they walk every day.

In your studio

The owner brings the pet to you. Each photographer chooses which of the three places to offer.

Your package menu

Up to 3 packages, every price yours

Petme sets no photography rates. You build a menu of 1 to 3 packages, and owners see what each one holds before they book.

Shoot length and edited photos

Set by you for each package

Price and delivery deadline

Your price, and a delivery deadline of 3, 7 or 14 days

Revision rounds

From 0 to 3 rounds in each package

Delivery and payout

Previews first, originals after the owner accepts

Delivery happens in the app, and the owner decides at the end, which is also when your payout follows.

Watermarked previews

The owner first sees watermarked previews and has 3 days to accept, ask for changes or report a problem.

Full-quality originals

Once the owner accepts, they get your originals in full quality, never recompressed. A change request uses one of your package's revision rounds, and you re-deliver within 3 days.

Payout after acceptance

Your payout follows when the owner accepts. No answer in 3 days counts as accepted. If you miss the delivery deadline, the owner can cancel for a full refund.

Common questions

Pet photography on Petme

What photographers ask before they apply.

Where can I find pet photographer jobs near me?
Petme has pet photographer pages for London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Leeds, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester, Bristol, Leicester, Cardiff, Belfast, Coventry, Bradford and Nottingham. It does not post vacancies: approved Petme sitters who pass a photography review build their own package menu, and owners book from it.
How do I become a pet photographer on Petme?
Become an approved, ID-verified Petme sitter, then send the photography application with a portfolio of animal photos, at least one proof of paid professional work and your declarations. If it is not approved, you can apply again after 15 days.
Do I need paid experience to become a pet photographer?
Yes, on Petme you do. The application needs a portfolio of animal photos and at least one proof of paid professional work: a business registration, a client invoice, or a professional website or social profile. Until you have that, you can offer other pet care as an approved sitter.
How much do pet photographers make?
Petme publishes no earnings figure, because photographers set their own package prices. For reference, a pet photography session costs about £50 to £250 across the UK, according to Airtasker UK (updated November 2023), and a one-hour shoot with a general photographer costs £79 to £139 on Snappr's 2026 UK price list. Treat it as a guide, not a promise of earnings.
What is the job description of a pet photographer on Petme?
You shoot pets at the owner's home within your radius, outdoors at a spot the owner names, or in your studio. You deliver the edited photos in the app by your package's deadline, handle any revision rounds and post your work on the Petme feed.
Are there animal photographer jobs on Petme?
Petme photography is for pets and their owners. Your portfolio should show animal photos, and the packages owners book are pet photo sessions at their home, outdoors or in a studio.
Are there pet portrait jobs on Petme?
Petme's pet photography packages are photo sessions: a set number of edited photos from a shoot of a set length, delivered in the app. If your portrait work is photographic, build a package around it and price it yourself.
