One Telford sitter can cover Lawley, Dawley and Wellington in a single day
Telford was built as a new town stitched together from older townships, with green space and reclaimed industrial land between them, so there is no single centre to work out from. List more than one service and the work you take can sit in neighbouring townships rather than at opposite ends of the town. Set your own rates and keep up to 90% of every booking.

Local know-how pays off in Telford
Telford has a wet maritime climate with rain spread across the year, frosty spells in winter, and short winter days that leave a narrow window of daylight. Walkers who carry a raincoat and a towel, plan sheltered routes on the wettest days, and hold their slots through the drizzle keep the regulars that fair-weather walkers lose.
When demand peaks
Demand peaks over the summer holidays and across Christmas and New Year, with a second wave on the February, May and October half-terms and the bank-holiday weekends. Boarding and house sitting lead when owners travel; walking, daycare and drop-in visits carry the commuting week.
Know your Telford areas
Most bookings cluster Wellington to Madeley. Owners look for sitters who know the area and can reach them without a long trip.
Breeds you will meet in Telford
Owners here mostly keep Labrador Retriever, Cocker Spaniel, French Bulldog, Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Knowing how those breeds behave, and saying so on your profile, is what turns a first booking into a repeat client.
Covering a town built in pieces
Lawley is one of the newest parts, built out over the past twenty years with gardens and family housing, while Wellington is the old market town at the north-west corner with its own station on the Shrewsbury line. Dawley and Madeley run south towards the Ironbridge Gorge, Donnington sits to the north-east beside the ordnance depot, and Newport is a market town further out that way, a drive rather than a hop. Offering walks, visits, daycare and overnight stays means a single trip out can cover more than one kind of job.
