Pet sitting in Montreal

Pet sitting that fits how Montreal actually lives

Montreal pet care looks different depending on which side of the mountain you live on. In the Plateau-Mont-Royal, Mile End, and Rosemont, most owners are in walk-up triplexes and duplexes with no concierge, so sitters need clear handover instructions and a key plan before the first visit. In Griffintown, Old Montreal, and downtown, the towers come with fobs, lobby codes, and elevator access that a sitter has to be briefed on. Filtering by your own neighborhood, from Verdun and NDG to Outremont and Hochelaga, keeps the back-and-forth short and the dog on its usual streets.

Winter is the real planner here. From December through March the sidewalks turn to salt and ice, and many owners cut full walks down to shorter loops plus extra drop-in visits to keep a dog comfortable below freezing. A sitter who already knows Montreal winter routines, paws wiped after road salt, less time on glazed sidewalks, is worth filtering for.

With Petme you pay 0% in owner service fees, earn cashback into your in-app balance, and the Petme Protection Plan can contribute up to CAD 32,000 toward eligible vet costs at any licensed Canadian clinic. Many Montreal sitters are bilingual, so you can message in French or English and they will reply in kind.
