About doggy daycare in Roskilde

Roskilde is a historic city on the shores of Roskilde Fjord, offering a wonderful blend of cultural heritage and natural beauty for pets and their sitters. Boserup Forest, just south of the city, is a large deciduous woodland with trails leading down to the fjord shore. Dogs love the varied terrain of hills, forest floor, and waterside paths, and it is one of the most beloved walking spots in the area.

The Roskilde Fjord shoreline provides flat, peaceful trails with views across the water to Frederikssund. Sitters in Himmelev and Trekroner enjoy quiet suburban paths and green corridors that connect to the countryside. Vikingestien, a path near the Viking Ship Museum, follows the harbour edge and is perfect for a short, scenic walk. The parks around Roskilde Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, offer well-kept paths through manicured gardens.

Petme bookings in Roskilde include 149,000 kr through the Protection Plan. Our verified sitters in Roskilde C, Svogerslev, Vindinge, and Trekroner provide reliable care for dogs, cats, and other pets. Roskilde's strong sense of community, famous for bringing people together at events like the Roskilde Festival, means your sitter will treat your pet with the same warmth and attention they give their own.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does doggy daycare cost in Roskilde?
Daycare in Roskilde typically runs 200-325 kr per day. Pricing depends on the sitter, the number of dogs in the home, and whether walks are included.
Are daycare hosts in Roskilde verified?
Yes. Every Petme host passes identity verification with a government ID and a background check. The Protection Plan can contribute up to 149,000 kr toward eligible vet costs.
Will my dog be alone during the day?
No. The host is at home or nearby for the full daycare window. Most Petme hosts also take dogs out for a midday walk.
Can I drop off and pick up on flexible times?
Yes. Most Roskilde hosts agree on a drop-off and pick-up window with you in chat. Standard windows are 8-10 in the morning and 16-18 in the evening.
What if my dog doesn't get on with other dogs?
Many Petme hosts offer solo daycare (only your dog in the home). Filter for solo daycare or ask in chat before booking.
Is there a service fee for pet owners?
No. Petme charges pet owners 0% service fee. You only pay the host's rate, and you earn cashback on every completed booking.
Where in Denmark are Petme sitters available?
Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense, Aalborg, Esbjerg, Randers, Kolding, Horsens, Vejle, Roskilde and Frederiksberg cover most bookings. Coverage also extends to Slagelse, Helsingor, Silkeborg, Herning, Holstebro, Nakskov, Naestved and smaller towns across all five Danish regions.
Can I book a Petme sitter for sommerhus or fællesferie?
Yes. Many Danish sitters travel to a sommerhus on Bornholm, the West Coast, Sealand or Mon during fællesferie and school breaks. Filter by date in the app, message a few sitters in chat, and confirm travel before booking.
How does Petme cashback work in Denmark?
Pet owners earn cashback on every completed booking. Cashback is credited automatically to your Petme balance and can be spent on the next booking. The more you book, the more you get back, instead of paying a service fee.
