FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a pet sitter cost in Roskilde?
Typical rates in Roskilde are 200-400 kr per night for dog boarding, 150-275 kr per dog walk, and 150-240 kr per drop-in visit. Sitters set their own rates and they're shown on each profile.
Are sitters in Roskilde really vetted?
Yes. Every sitter in Roskilde passes identity verification with a government ID and a background check. First reviews are tagged so you can see how new sitters compare to established ones.
What does the 0% owner fee actually mean in Roskilde?
Other platforms charge pet owners a service fee on top of the sitter's rate at checkout. Petme charges pet owners 0%. You pay only the rate the sitter sets, in DKK.
How does the cashback work for Roskilde bookings?
When you complete a booking with a sitter in Roskilde, Petme credits cashback into your in-app balance. Spend it on your next booking. No expiry, no minimum.
What if my pet needs a vet during a Roskilde stay?
The Protection Plan can contribute up to 149,000 kr toward eligible vet costs at any licensed Danish vet clinic, including emergency providers. No deductible. Open a ticket from inside the booking and we handle it.
Can I find a weekend dog walker in Roskilde C?
Yes. Roskilde sitters list weekend availability on their profiles. Filter by your dates and you only see sitters who are free on those days. Many Roskilde C sitters also do daily drop-ins for owners commuting downtown.
Can sitters reach my flat in a Roskilde apartment building?
Yes. Most Roskilde buildings use intercom or key-on-arrival; arrange a building visitor pass at the meet and greet if your block requires one.
How do Roskilde sitters handle winter dog walks?
Experienced Roskilde sitters use shorter loops when temperatures drop, watch for salt on the paws, and rinse paws after walks where streets have been gritted. Discuss your dog's cold tolerance at the meet and greet.
Can my dog go to the beach with a Roskilde sitter?
Many Roskilde sitters take dogs to the local coast or fjord in summer. Confirm beach dates with the sitter, follow the local off-leash rules, and rinse sand and saltwater off your dog before going home.
Can I find a sitter for evening or late-night drop-ins in Roskilde?
Yes. Roskilde has a large student population and many sitters list evening or late-night availability. Filter by your dates and times and message a few sitters in chat before booking.
