Local know-how pays off in Aigio
Aigio runs a Mediterranean pattern: long, hot, dry summers and mild winters. Walkers who move to early-morning and post-sunset routes from June to September, carry water, and use the 5-second pavement test to protect paws keep booking through the heat, while midday-only walkers lose the whole summer.
When demand peaks
Demand peaks hard around Dekapentavgoustos in mid-August, when the cities empty for the islands and villages, and stays high across the summer tourist season; Orthodox Easter and Christmas bring a second wave. Boarding and drop-in visits lead while owners travel; walking and daycare carry the working week in the bigger cities.
