FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How much does a house sitter cost in Wexford?
Overnight house sitting in Wexford runs €28–€48 per night, depending on the number of pets, the length of the stay, and any plant or post tasks.
Does the sitter live in my home full-time?
Yes. Your sitter sleeps at your place, follows your pet's normal routine, and short outings are agreed in advance. Most house sits include feeding, walks, play, and a daily update.
What if my home has a smart lock or alarm?
Walk the sitter through it at the meet and greet. Many Irish owners use HomeSecure or simple keypad alarms. Sitters keep codes confidential.
Can the sitter water plants and collect post?
Yes. Add any household tasks to your booking notes. House sitters typically water plants, collect post, and rotate lights so the home looks lived-in.
Are house sitters in Wexford verified?
Yes. Every sitter passes identity and background checks. The Protection Plan can contribute up to €20,000 toward eligible vet costs.
Is there a service fee for pet owners?
No. Petme charges pet owners 0% service fee. You only pay the sitter's rate, and you earn automatic cashback on every completed stay.
