em_lovesdogsIt’s easy to laugh off moments like this — a little dog strutting around with a toy, getting closer and closer to a bigger, calm dog.
But here’s the truth:
Pushing boundaries isn’t funny — it’s stressful.
The bigger dog in this clip shows incredible restraint.
He’s standing calmly, avoiding conflict, and doing everything right.
But that doesn’t mean he’s enjoying the interaction.
He’s tolerating it — because he’s well-managed and has learned impulse control.
Where was the little dog’s guardian?
Who was advocating for the bigger dog’s right to space?
Respecting space prevents problems.
Pressure — even playful pressure — isn’t cute when it pushes a dog into discomfort.
It’s our job as pet parents to read the room, recognize body language, and step in before tolerance turns into frustration or fear.
Respect goes both ways.
Every dog deserves to feel safe — not just the boldest one.
