The two dobe lifestyle 🌅 Bloody hardwork I can tell you that much! Lots of people and friends have asked how they have been getting on together and how we’ve been managing them up until this point. We’ve been taking it super slow because Zen was initially super intense. Just as she is in everything, she’d throw herself at a million miles an hour at him any chance she got. I didn’t want to do the whole “oh they’ll just figure it out” approach which so many people told us to do 😅 I wanted to make sure Lonzo knew I had his back and Zen to know that there are very clear do’s and dont’s. So majority of the time they have been separate in the house unless on their own place. They’ve also been having their own individual walks. Mostly to give Lonzo some peace and for Zen to learn all the behaviours she’ll need to be a great dog! We took a big step forward today on our joint walk relationship wise. Zen showed appropriate behaviour around Lonzo and respected his space. As a result Lonzo was much more affectionate towards Zen when we returned home. Instead of simply ignoring her he was wagging his tail and giving her kisses. I’m super happy with how their relationship has been progressing. We’ll be continuing to take it slow, no rush!
