The Tarmachan Ridge was probably our most epic adventure yet. As goes with most adventures it came with a couple of ‘Oh shit’ moments. These winter conditions are absolutely stunning but you certainly shouldn’t underestimate them 🥶 I will say that the winter conditions made this a very challenging walk. It took us 7 hours to do. Absolutely need crampons + ice axe if you’re thinking about it. I also don’t think I’d do it again with the dogs - they managed but was pushing their limit. Because of their size it isn’t as easy as just lifting them up over things that are challenging. Next time in the summer!
