Happy #nationalrescuedogday 🐶 I owe these girls so much gratitude for the immeasurable joy, purpose and fulfillment they give me. Built in best friends. Saying “thank you” and “I love you” on a loop doesn’t feel like adequate repayment. Quality of life and the best care we can provide doesn’t feel like it hits the mark either. Cookie hails from a rescue down south, who took her in post Hurricane Katrina. Luna is from our regional breed club rescue, SCNR. While I will always advocate for adopting and shopping responsibly, the ability to rescue Luna, my dream breed and dog, makes her story that much sweeter. She is everything I wanted in a Newf and everything I didn’t know I needed in a dog. If you’re on the hunt for your perfect “insert breed name here” I cannot recommend enough connecting with your regional club’s rescue program. If you can’t find a dog who meets your needs, please connect with a reputable, preservation breeder. ♥️
