More than 30 000 cranes gathers here every year to dance and have done so for thousands of years. Before splitting up into smaller groups and continuing flying further up north. So why are they dancing? They are dancing to strengthen the bonds between the male and female in the relationship before nesting. It’s like a relationship building ceremony. 💛 If you would like to see them in their thousands the ideal time to go is middle of March to beginning of April. They “dance” during dawn and dusk. 🌅 📍Hornborgarsjön
