carlaHonestly, I LIVE for little wins. Yesterday I walked cooper along the main roads for the first time in ages because generally we bump into dogs out of nowhere or he’ll react whenever he sees a tail wag from any distance. But I thought, it’s a nice evening and I didn’t want to go in the car so walked him to the field we go to knowing he needs the exposure. I saw a dog approach on the same side of the road so I crossed to give us space, fully ready for a reaction. Cooper looked at the dog, then looked forward and carried on walking. My face… must have been a picture. I kind of froze on the spot and looked at him in amazement. Another followed and he let out a *small* bark - which is huge for him and carried on walking. Then at the dog field, he saw another dog and carried on with his day and then again on the walk back on the main roads. Looked and walked on. I’m SO proud of him and it made me realise that it’s so important to not forget how far you’ve come. We’re nowhere near where we need to be but we’re a million miles from where we started 🥹
