FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What's covered in a Birmingham house sitting booking?

A verified sitter moves into your Birmingham home for the dates you book, so your pet keeps its own bed, feeding times and territory. You agree house rules, key handover and any medication at a meet and greet you arrange in chat before the stay. Everything is arranged and paid inside the app, so there is a clear record of what was agreed.

Which Birmingham areas do house sitting sitters cover?

Care happens in your own home in Birmingham, so the sitter travels to you. Filter for sitters who already cover your area, whether that's Edgbaston or the surrounding Birmingham neighbourhoods. Birmingham covers West Midlands, England, and you can filter by date to see only the sitters with availability when you need them.

What if my pet needs a vet during a Birmingham booking?

The Protection Plan offers up to £20,000 for eligible vet costs if something goes wrong during the house sitting in Birmingham, subject to the Protection Plan terms. Eligibility rules apply, including telling Petme support within 48 hours, so read the terms before you book.

What are typical house sitting rates in Birmingham?

Expect roughly £35 to £58 per night for house sitting in Birmingham. The exact figure depends on the sitter, your pet and the time of year, but every rate is shown upfront on the profile. Petme charges owners no service fee, so nothing is added at checkout.

How do I know a Birmingham sitter is trustworthy?

Every sitter in Birmingham is identity-verified and background-checked before they can take a booking, and you can read every review they have ever received. You can also arrange a meet and greet in chat before committing, so you decide in person.

Does Petme charge Birmingham owners a booking fee?

There is no owner fee. Unlike platforms that add a booking fee at checkout, Petme takes 0% from owners in Birmingham; you pay the sitter's listed rate and earn cashback on top of every completed booking.
