Sitters are notified the moment you message. Many reply within the hour. Once a sitter accepts and you confirm in the app, the booking is live and the Protection Plan terms apply to it.
Does the Protection Plan still apply on a last-minute booking?
Yes, the same terms apply whether you book weeks ahead or the same day. The Petme Protection Plan offers up to £20,000 for eligible vet costs, subject to the Protection Plan terms, on bookings made and paid through Petme.
Is there an extra fee for short-notice bookings?
Petme charges pet owners 0% either way. Some sitters set their own short-notice or peak rates on their profile, which you always see before you book. You also earn cashback on every completed booking.
