Tompkins Square dog run, rescue-heavy, walk-up tenements. Walks revolve around Tompkins Square Park and St. Marks Place. Cats stress less at home. Petme cat sitters in East Village come to your apartment for drop-in visits, feed and water, scoop the litter, refresh the play, and send a photo update. Twice-daily visits are the standard cat-sitting pattern in New York; full house sitting is the upgrade for cats with separation anxiety or complex medical needs.

About East Village
Cat sitting in East Village, what it actually looks like
The East Village is the dense, gritty-creative neighborhood east of NoHo and the Lower East Side. Tompkins Square Park's dog runs (separate small and large sections) are the social hub, Avenue A is the spine, and East River Park along the water provides longer walks. Walk-up tenement buildings dominate.
East Village sitters skew young, creative, multilingual (Polish, Ukrainian, Spanish, Yiddish all historically represented). The breed mix tilts rescue-heavy with strong pit-mix presence reflecting the local Anjellicle Cats and Animal Care Centers pipeline. Building rules are looser than SoHo, allowing wider breed range.
