Dog care tips for Laval
Keep your dog comfortable on Laval's island setting.
Quebec winters
Laval gets heavy snow and ice. Dogs need paw protection and warm coats for winter walks along the river.
River caution
Riviere des Prairies has strong currents, especially during spring runoff. Keep dogs away from the water's edge.
Leash rules
Dogs must be leashed in all Laval public spaces except designated off-leash areas.
Suburban comfort
Laval dogs enjoy spacious homes with yards. Regular socialisation and outings keep suburban dogs well-adjusted.
