Dog walking in Paceville
Paceville is the entertainment heart of Malta, packed with bars, restaurants and clubs. Behind the nightlife are dense residential blocks home to hospitality workers, expat professionals and short-let renters. The pet profile skews toward indoor cats and small dogs in apartments. Sitters work mornings before the area wakes up and afternoons before the night crowd starts.

Frequently asked
Questions from Paceville owners
Is Paceville safe for dog walks?
In the mornings and early afternoons, yes. Most sitters avoid late-evening walks because of broken glass on weekend nights; the area is fully street-cleaned by dawn so morning walks are fine.
Where do Paceville sitters take dogs?
The Spinola Bay promenade and the Pembroke garigue are minutes away. Most sitters skip the central Paceville streets and use the bay or garigue for the daily walk.
Are short-let owners covered too?
Yes. Many Petme sitters in Paceville specifically handle short-let owners who travel back home for 1-3 week stretches and leave behind an indoor cat or small dog.
How do sitters handle the summer heat in Paceville?
By moving the day around it. Walks go early in the morning and again after sunset, pavements get checked with a hand before a dog is taken out on them, and the middle of the day is for shade, water and quiet indoors. Agree the timings with your St Julians sitter when you book, and say so if your dog is a flat-faced breed or an older one that struggles in the heat.
What do I need to have in order before booking in Paceville?
Your dog should be microchipped and on the national register, which is required in Malta under the Electronic Identification of Dogs Regulations. Beyond that, give your Paceville sitter the vet you use, the feeding routine, and a note of how your dog behaves with other dogs on a narrow street, which comes up more in St Julians than in most places.
What does Petme cover in Paceville?
Verified pet sitters offering boarding, in-home sitting, drop-in visits and dog walks across Paceville. The Protection Plan can contribute up to €20,000 toward eligible vet costs.
Is there a booking fee?
No. Petme charges 0% to pet owners. The rate on the sitter's profile is exactly what you pay at checkout.
