Finding care in Haarlem

Care close to home in Haarlem

A dog who has just moved to Haarlem is still adjusting to trams, bikes and narrow pavements. Keeping him in his own home with a sitter who walks the same streets, whether that is around Schalkwijk or Parkwijk, spares him a second upheaval while you are away.

The cashback maths

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

what does the 0% owner fee mean in practice
It means the sitter's rate is your whole bill. Typical platforms add a service fee for the owner at checkout, on top of what the sitter charges. Petme does not, so a five night stay costs five nights of the sitter's rate and nothing more.
what does a pet sitter cost in Haarlem
Sitters set their own rates, and in Haarlem boarding usually falls between 25 and 50 euro a night while drop-in visits run about 12 to 22 euro. The rate you see on the profile is the amount you pay, because owners pay no service fee on Petme. Cashback is credited to your balance after the booking finishes.
can a sitter give my dog medication
Many sitters can, and it is worth asking in your first message. Write down the doses and the timings, then go through them at the meet and greet so nothing depends on memory. Sitters who have done it before usually say so on their profile.
how do I find a pet sitter in Haarlem if I do not speak Dutch
Start in the app, where profiles, messages and bookings all sit in one place. You read each sitter's profile, send a message about your dates and your pet, and arrange a free meet and greet before anything is confirmed. That meeting is also where you find out how you and the sitter communicate best.
can I book the same sitter again
Yes, and many owners do. Rebooking someone your pet already knows removes the introductions and the explaining, and the sitter already has your routine. You can message a previous sitter from the app when your next trip comes up.
can my cat stay at home instead of going to a cattery
Yes. A sitter comes to your flat for drop-in visits, feeds, refreshes the water, cleans the tray and spends time with the cat. Your cat never travels, never meets other animals, and keeps its own routine while you are away. You agree how many visits a day at the meet and greet.
