Your cat stays in their own home, with their own routine
Cats and travel do not mix well. Boarding facilities are stressful, and even staying with a friend means a new apartment full of unfamiliar smells. FAQ
Common questions about cat sitting in Zurich
How much does cat sitting cost in Zurich?
Cat sitting drop-in visits in Zurich typically run CHF 25 to CHF 45 per visit. Most owners book one to two visits per day depending on the cat. Petme charges 0% owner commission, so the rate you agree with your sitter is the full price.
Is in-home cat sitting better than boarding a cat?
For most cats, yes. Cats are deeply territorial and a strange environment can cause stress eating, litter avoidance, and hiding for days after returning home. Drop-in visits at your own apartment keep your cat in their own space, with their own bowls, scent, and routine.
Can Petme cat sitters administer medication?
Many of our verified Zurich sitters can handle daily pill, liquid, or transdermal medications. Insulin injections require an experienced sitter. Message a few candidates and confirm details during the meet-and-greet.
How often do sitters visit?
You choose the schedule. Most Zurich owners book once-daily visits for healthy adult cats and twice-daily for kittens, seniors, or cats on medication. Visit length is typically 30 to 60 minutes.
How does building access work in Zurich apartments?
Zurich sitters are familiar with apartment entry systems, key handoffs, letterbox keys, and buzzer codes common across Seefeld, Oerlikon, and Wiedikon. Confirm building access logistics during the meet-and-greet so the sitter has reliable entry for every visit.
