A local edge

Local know-how pays off in Philadelphia

Philadelphia runs humid summers and icy winters with road salt across rowhome blocks. Sitters rinse salt off paws between Center City stoops in winter, shift to early walks in July humidity, and watch for hot brick and asphalt in the densest neighborhoods.

When demand peaks

Boarding peaks over the winter holidays and the summer Shore-travel window, when families head to the Jersey Shore. Daily lunchtime walks run steady year-round for Center City and University City commuters.

Know your Philadelphia areas

Most cat bookings cluster Center City to Fishtown. Owners book the sitter who can reach them quickly for a daily visit, so the areas you list matter more than the distance you are willing to travel.
