Providence has cold, snowy New England winters and humid summers off Narragansett Bay. Sitters break up walks during July humidity and watch for icy sidewalks on the steep East Side hills after a winter storm.

When demand peaks

Demand spikes around the Brown and RISD academic calendar, summer Cape and shore getaways, and the winter holidays. Boarding and house sitting lead during travel windows, while dog walking holds steady for the city's many apartment-dwelling professionals and students.
