Local know-how pays off in Sarasota

Sarasota runs hot and humid from roughly March through November, with afternoon thunderstorms in the wet season and a heat index that regularly tops 100 degrees. When demand peaks

Winter is peak season here as snowbirds and vacationers fill the barrier islands and downtown, pushing boarding and house-sitting demand from late November through April. Tourism around Siesta Beach and St. Armands Circle keeps summer travel busy too, while dog walking and drop-in visits stay steady year-round for the healthcare, arts, and hospitality workers who live in town.
