About Pet Sitting in Navan
Navan sits at the confluence of the River Boyne and the Blackwater, giving pet owners a wealth of riverside and countryside walks to enjoy. The Ramparts, a looped walk along the Boyne, is the town's most popular route for dog walkers, passing through mature parkland and along the riverbank. The historic Hill of Tara, just a ten-minute drive south, offers sweeping hilltop walks with panoramic views across the Royal County. Trim Castle and its surrounding meadows are another favourite, providing a scenic backdrop for a weekend outing with your four-legged companion.
Navan has the feel of a large market town, with a strong community spirit and a growing population of pet-loving families. Johnstown and Athlumney are established residential areas where tree-lined roads and well-maintained greens make daily dog walks a pleasure. Blackcastle and Flower Hill, on the town's eastern side, enjoy open aspects and proximity to river walks. Along the Trim Road and Proudstown, newer developments sit alongside farmland, offering pets easy access to both suburban greens and open countryside. Beechmount and Clonmagadden complete the picture, with a friendly, village-like feel within the growing town.
