Caring for your dog in Nottingham
Nottingham-specific tips every dog owner should know
Deer park awareness
Wollaton Park has free-roaming deer. Keep your dog on a lead within the deer park to prevent chasing and distress to the herd.
River Trent caution
The Trent can have strong currents and unexpected depth changes. Keep your dog on a lead near the river, especially after rainfall.
Midlands winter walking
Nottinghamshire winters are cold and damp. Dry your dog after muddy walks and consider a coat for short-haired breeds on windy days.
Forest socialisation
Sherwood Forest and Wollaton Park are social hubs for Nottingham dog owners. Regular visits help your dog meet other dogs.
