Local know-how pays off in Köln
Cologne runs on its Veedel, and owners hand a dog to somebody from their own quarter far more readily than to a kennel across the city. The Rhine valley is also the mildest corner of Germany in winter, so the year-end stays are easier here than further east.
When demand peaks
Summer holidays, Christmas and the public-holiday bridges are the strongest windows, with Carnival week adding short stays.
Know your Köln areas
Most dog sitting bookings cluster in Ehrenfeld, Sülz and Nippes. The owner brings the dog to you, so an easy handover and a green space within walking distance matter more than the size of the area you cover.
Breeds you will meet in Köln
Owners here mostly keep Mixed breed, Labrador, German Shepherd. Knowing how those breeds behave, and saying so on your profile, is what turns a first booking into a repeat client.
