Get paid to stay in pet owners' homes across Germany

House sitting on Petme in Germany runs €32 to €75 per night. You stay at the owner's home overnight and keep their pets on their usual routine. You set your own nightly rate, and you keep up to 90% of every booking.

You stay at the owner's home while they are away: feeding, walks, litter trays, medication if a pet needs it, and photo updates in chat. Agree keys, access and the daily routine with the owner before the first night, so both sides know exactly what the stay covers.

Petme covers 20 large German cities, from Berlin, Munich and Hamburg to Essen, Bremen, Bochum, Wuppertal, Bielefeld, Bonn and Münster. Each city page lists the local nightly rate band and the neighborhoods that book the most.

Mostly around the weeks they travel: the Sommerferien and the run from Weihnachten to Neujahr, with the Osterferien and Herbstferien behind them. The summer holidays are staggered by Bundesland rather than set nationally, so the busy weeks follow the calendar of the state you work in.

It is self-employed work. You are not employed by Petme: you register a small trade (Gewerbe), invoice through the app, choose which stays you accept and set your own nightly rate. There are no assigned shifts and no minimum hours.

Every confirmed Petme booking, including house sitting, includes €20,000 in Protection Plan for the pet in your care, at no cost to you or the owner.
