Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
How much does a drop-in pet visit cost in Athens?
Drop-in visits in Athens usually run €14 to €25 for a 20 to 30 minute stop. Longer visits or multiple pets cost more. Each Peristeri sitter's rate is shown on Petme before you book, so there are no surprises.
How long is a drop-in visit in Peristeri?
A standard Peristeri visit is around 20 to 30 minutes, enough to feed, refresh water, offer a bathroom break or short walk, and give your pet some attention. You can request a longer visit and agree it with your sitter in the app.
How many visits a day does my pet need in Peristeri?
One visit a day suits an independent cat; dogs and younger pets usually need two or three. You set the schedule with your Peristeri sitter. The Protection Plan offers up to €20,000 for eligible incidents.
How far ahead should I book a sitter in Peristeri for August?
Months, not weeks. Greek residents take about a third of their trips in August, so Athens sitters are fielding requests for the same weeks from everyone at once. Spring is not too early for an August booking, and outside midsummer you can usually arrange something a couple of weeks out.
What does my pet need to be registered before I book in Peristeri?
A microchip and an entry in the National Register of Companion Animals, which Greek law requires for every dog and cat, not just dogs. A certified vet fits the chip and checks it at each visit. Have the registration in order before you book in Peristeri, and give your Athens sitter your vet's details along with the feeding and medication routine.
